The Cracked Cauldron Podcast

Welcome to The Cracked Cauldron, a podcast hosted by Ed Bolden-Greer and Jacob A. Garner. In each episode, Ed and Jacob will have free-flowing conversations about horror, life, culture, and personal growth. Expect to hear from storytellers, authors, horror experts, life gurus, thought leaders, and influencers. The Cauldron is a place where concoctions of a lot of ideas are brewed down to potions that are sometimes important and useful, sometimes eccentric and bizarre, but always just what you need. The Cauldron Podcast may contain explicit language and thematic elements not suitable for all audiences; listener discretion is advised.

Sunday Feb 22, 2026

In this powerful episode of The Cracked Cauldron Podcast, Jacob and Ed are joined by EP Jeryd Bolden-Greer and Veronica Williams to explore the deep impact of harmful language, specifically slurs, and how they shape identity, belonging, and emotional safety. Through history, lived experience, and cultural context, we examine why these words carry such destructive weight, how they’re used to marginalize communities, and what it means to challenge them with awareness and accountability. This conversation invites listeners to reflect on the responsibility we all share in choosing language that heals rather than harms.

Season 4 – Episode 10 – A.J. Mason Interview
Release Date: 01/27/2026
Website: Ravens Vail Podcast Network
 Description:
Ed and Jacob fire up the Cauldron and welcome author A.J. Mason-AKA-A.J. Downey, because when you’ve got that many stories rattling around in your head, one name just isn’t going to cut it. From there, the conversation careens delightfully off‑road: Appalachian oddities, Tennessee’s ever‑dramatic Civil War ghosts, the current political circus, and the general state of the world doing whatever it’s doing these days. It’s part spooky storytelling, part social commentary, and part “laugh so you don’t cry,” all delivered with the Cracked Cauldron’s signature chaotic charm. Tune in for a lively, haunted, and surprisingly relatable brew.

Season 4 Episode 9 – New Year's 2026
Release Date: January 17, 2026
Website: Ravens Vail Podcast Network
Description:
Hosts Ed Bolden-Greer and Jacob Garner ring in 2026 with a perfect blend of reflection, chaos, and unintentional comedy, joined this year by special guest and Executive Producer Jeryd Bolden-Greer.The trio looks back at their 2025 resolutions with a mix of pride, regret, and “why did we ever say that out loud?” Some goals were met, some were abandoned, and at least one became a running joke they may never live down. From heartfelt honesty to sharp, playful banter, the conversation swings between serious self-assessment and pure comedic derailment.Of course, it wouldn’t be a New Year’s episode without something going sideways. A small technical hiccup briefly turns the studio into a circus, and Jacob has a live, on-air revelation that he does not, in fact, know how words work. Ed and Jeryd do their best to keep the ship steady, but the laughter keeps winning. Warm, candid, and delightfully unhinged, this episode sets the tone for a hopeful and hilarious 2026.                              .

Ed Bolden-Greer

The creator of Ravens Vail Cauldron Podcast,  Ed Bolden-Greer, has been called a Pollyanna and a sugarcoated idealist.  He thinks of himself as more optimistic than that.  He likes peanut butter and cheeseburgers!  He’s the illegitimate love child of strategy and creativity.  Unfortunately, neither admits to having him…

In his private life, he resides in Knoxville, Tennessee, with his husband, Jeryd, where he enjoys the role of father, son, brother, friend, writer, and social activist.  His friends refer to him as an extrovert’s-extrovert and a geek all in the same breath, and he finds it flattering.  Most people consider him well-traveled, well-read, well-educated, and well-spoken. One of his most extraordinary talents is binge-watching horror series, nerdy science, and quasi-science documentaries like Ancient Aliens or Planet Earth.  He loves playing Dungeons and Dragons, riding his longboard, mindlessly watching TikTok, and sitting by a cozy bonfire telling ghost stories.

As a native of East Tennessee, he grew up in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, hearing all the old ghost stories spun about what some have called the most sinister and cursed land in the United States.  From the macabre Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary in Petros to the chilling Alexander Inn in Oak Ridge, those stories began his life-long love affair with all things scary and haunted.  Now it’s his time to spin some tales of his own.  He’s been passionate about telling stories for over twenty-five years, moving me to create a podcast.  He invites you to visit the world of Ravens Vail at one of his three podcasts: Ravens Vail Podcast, his dark fantasy horror anthology podcast; Ravens Vail Cauldron, his weekly talk show; and Ravens Vail Coven, a horror anthology podcast curated from stories submitted by the public.
